This is my family. We are all type A personalities, bold in our own ways, stubborn, emotional, passionate, thirsty for knowledge and very argumentative. We are honest, strong-willed, loving, accepting and atypical in all sorts of ways. We celebrate our differences and the outlandish. We relish in our time together. We cherish activities that make us feel good and enjoy creating meals that are delish.

The pandemic has been in full swing for over four months and I was seeing my parenting up close like never before. I listened to the noise filling our souls, I watched as we connected more to our screens more than to each other and I knew the action I wanted to take: show the real parenting that goes on behind the fourth wall of social media.

Jewish Parent Life was born through a need to be authentic, show others that we don’t need to compete with one another instead we have to find the peace within our parent self, make choices that are hard and parent so that are kids become good humans. Happiness is a perk. The struggle is real every day. The joys of seeing my kids blossom into their very own unique beings are abundant.

I bring you my perspective of Jewish Parent Life. My intention is to build community. Share traditions. Create a space for us to be and enjoy life fully.
